Turkish court blocks T24 site over LGBT content and a plane crash occurs in Manisa

A Turkish court ordered the block of T24’s website and social media accounts.12 The block was based on 118 pieces of content deemed to constitute ‘LGBT propaganda’.12 Dozens of people have been jailed pending trial as part of the ‘My Family is Safe’ investigation.12 The European Union expressed concern over the arrests and online restrictions.12 YENI Party spokesperson Zeynel Emre said a committee was formed to investigate a fund scandal.34 A plane crash occurred in Manisa, leaving workers trapped under the wreckage.4 The Manisa crash may disrupt flights at nearby Adnan Menderes International Airport (ADB).4

T24’s lawyers were due to appeal the blocking decision on Thursday.2 The YENI Party’s committee will continue its investigation into the fund scandal.34
