TE Connectivity launches Side Entry Cable Shield Repair Kit for aircraft maintenance
TE Connectivity announced a new Side Entry Cable Shield Repair Kit that allows aircraft maintenance technicians to repair damaged wire jackets and braided shielding without cutting conductors or disconnecting harnesses.1
The kit is reported to lower risks associated with cutting and reconnecting wires using crimps or solder sleeves, as well as the need to disconnect, remove and retest harnesses, thereby reducing aircraft downtime while maintaining safety standards, electrical integrity and compliance with aerospace repair regulations.1
