Pegasus Airlines completes acquisition of Smartwings group
Pegasus Airlines has completed the acquisition of the Smartwings group after obtaining the required regulatory approvals and meeting the usual operational conditions.1
The combined fleet now exceeds 175 aircraft and both carriers have placed orders for a total of 140 aircraft; Smartwings continues to operate under the Smartwings and Czech Airlines brands, with Czech Airlines having ended its independent flight operations in 2024 after more than a century of history.1
