Amparo Moraleda appointed Airbus board chair as René Obermann departs

Amparo Moraleda has taken over as chair of the Airbus board of directors, while René Obermann left the board on the same day to focus on his new role as chair of SAP's supervisory board.1

Guillaume Faury praised Obermann for guiding Airbus through challenging periods including the COVID-19 pandemic, and Moraleda said she will work with the board to keep Airbus agile, resilient and well‑positioned; Jean‑Pierre Clamadieu will not stand for re‑election at the 2027 annual meeting and will be succeeded by Florent Menegaux, CEO of Michelin.1
