Airbus has identified a quality issue with the fuselage structure of some A321neo aircraft, linked to a deviation in the application process of a protective layer on certain structural components, and said the problem does not affect aircraft safety but may impact delivery schedules.1
The airline will clarify the extent of the impact on deliveries on October 8, and the A321neo remains Airbus' largest single‑aisle model, capable of carrying up to 244 passengers over roughly 4,000 nautical miles.1
