Bolivia's main airport draws interest from firms in Canada, Argentina, France and China

The Minister of Public Works, Mauricio Zamora, said that companies from Canada, Argentina, France and China have expressed interest in Bolivia's main airport, and that they have 30 days to present their proposals.1

The Ministry of Public Works will publish a call for proposals within 30 days under Supreme Decree 5733, which designates the airport's modernization as a national strategic interest, and the Andean Development Corporation and external consultants will provide technical assistance for the tender; the administrative schedule calls for the final contract to be signed before the end of 2026 and the ministry will give priority to companies with the required experience.1
