Chinese outbound travel to Europe, South America, Australia and NZ jumps 40% during Golden

During the Golden Week, Chinese travelers to Europe, South America, Australia and New Zealand increased by more than 40%, while Japan fell out of the top‑10 destinations for Chinese tourists. The Civil Aviation Administration of China is preparing for a seven‑day National Day holidays travel rush that begins on Thursday. Railway stations and roads nationwide are packed as people return home on the last day of the holiday.1

Average daily cross‑border passenger flows are expected to exceed two million during the National Day travel surge, prompting Chinese fitness providers, doctors and hospitals to adapt services for international visitors. The high outbound demand and the anticipated passenger volumes are significant for airlines, airports and related travel services handling the holiday traffic.1
