Sun Express scales back fleet expansion plans, targets modest annual growth
Sun Express said it will grow slower than previously planned and has dropped its target of expanding its fleet from 86 to 150 aircraft by 2033.1
The airline now aims to increase its fleet and seat capacity by about 4‑5% each year, adding more than 60 new aircraft in the coming years with 11 scheduled for 2027, and expects to receive its first Boeing 737 Max 10 in the first half of 2028 while maintaining a service level in Germany, Switzerland and Austria similar to 2026.1
