Airbus orders extra checks on A330neo fleet after stray tool discovery
Airbus has asked certain A330neo operators to perform additional inspections after a tool was found in the aircraft structure during a pre‑delivery check in September 2026, and it has contacted several airlines to arrange these checks on a specific number of A330neos built between 2021 and July 2026.1
The European Aviation Safety Agency is expected to set a mid‑November deadline for the required inspections, and Airbus delivered no A330neo aircraft in June or July 2026 but delivered one in August 2026.1
