Hapag-Lloyd lifts 2026 profit outlook, trims QFP capacity as newbuilds return
Hapag-Lloyd raised its 2026 profit guidance. It cut contracted capacity allocations under its Quality Freight Product service by as much as 10%. Newbuilding deliveries are picking up after a summer lull.1
The carrier’s EBITDA is forecast to be up about 80% in the second quarter and roughly double a year ago. Maersk is expected to disclose quarterly EBITDA between $5.4 bn and $5.5 bn on 5 November.1
