Amazon Now expands ultra‑fast delivery to over 120 Indian cities
Amazon has rolled out its ultra‑fast delivery service, Amazon Now, to more than 120 cities across India, adding locations such as Amritsar, Jalandhar, Mangalore, Visakhapatnam and Kochi, among others. The expansion is supported by a network of nearly 800 micro‑fulfilment and urban fulfilment centres that enable the service to offer tens of thousands of products ranging from groceries to fashion and small appliances. Amazon Now reported crossing USD 1 billion in annualised gross sales in India based on the previous three‑month period.1
The broadened footprint positions Amazon Now to compete more aggressively in India's fast‑growing instant‑delivery market, especially ahead of the festive season when demand for quick grocery and household item deliveries spikes. By increasing the number of cities served, the company aims to strengthen its delivery‑in‑minutes network, which it describes as the largest of its kind in the country.1
Amazon plans to further extend the service to more than 300 cities, indicating a continued push to scale its ultra‑fast delivery capabilities across the Indian market.1
