EASA upgrades safety warning for Jordanian airspace, airlines adjust plans
The European Aviation Safety Agency has upgraded its safety warning for Jordanian airspace, moving from a recommendation of increased vigilance to advising avoidance at all altitudes.1
Lufthansa Group says it is monitoring the situation closely and remains in contact with relevant authorities, but it has not altered its current flight plan despite the new warning, while Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa have set dates to restart services to Amman.1
Austrian Airlines plans to resume flights to Amman on 2 October and Lufthansa intends to restart its Amman service on 25 October.1
