JR East launches Supreme Class private rooms on Tokyo‑New Osaka Shinkansen
JR East introduced a new top‑class service called Supreme Class on its N700S Shinkansen on October 1, offering a private room with a door above the Green Car in the 7th and 10th cars on the Tokyo‑New Osaka route and charging a fare of over 60,000 yen.1
The private room can seat two people on a large reclining seat and sofa, includes a tablet to control lighting, air conditioning and entertainment, and will initially run on 12 trains per day with plans to increase the frequency, while also being available on the Tokyo‑Nagoya route.1
