Jetstar Japan to launch Osaka‑Itami to Naha service from Oct 25

The Transportation Council has approved Jetstar Japan’s request to operate at Osaka’s Itami Airport, which is designated as a congested airport, and the airline will begin two round‑trip flights per day between Osaka/Itami and Okinawa/Naha on 25 October using Boeing 737‑800 aircraft.1

Under the Aviation Act, Jetstar Japan must obtain permission from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to operate at each domestic scheduled airport, and the carrier plans to serve five airports – Tokyo/Narita, Tokyo/Haneda, Osaka/Kansai, Osaka/Itami and Fukuoka – as part of its network expansion.1
