JR West launches WESTER Point Kansai & Northern Free Pass for 3‑day unlimited travel
JR West Japan introduced the WESTER Point Kansai & Northern Free Pass, offering unlimited travel on selected trains for three consecutive days, and it can be bought from October 1 to December 22, up to a month before the travel date or on the travel date itself.1
The pass, available for purchase between October 13 and December 24, covers the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Tsuruga and Echigo‑Yuzawa, the Thunderbird limited express between Osaka and Tsuruga, and the Sagano Scenic Railway between Kyoto and Osaka, and includes six ordinary‑car seat uses on the Shinkansen and limited‑express services within the designated area.1
