Virgin Atlantic to receive Airbus A330 Neo honoring Joan Branson
Virgin Atlantic will paint a new Airbus A330 Neo with memorabilia honoring Joan Branson, the late wife of founder Richard Branson, and the aircraft is scheduled for delivery in October with the registration G-VLJB, where LJ stands for Lady Joan.1
The plane, named Viva Forever, will feature a custom-designed front motif that includes the Branson family tartan, a heart‑shaped necklace and the rings Joan Branson wore daily, reflecting her involvement in Virgin Atlantic’s history since the airline’s first flight in 1984, and follows previous family‑named aircraft such as the Airbus A350 "Fearless Lady" named for Richard Branson’s mother Eve in 2021.1
