ANA Holdings EVP sees long‑term inbound tourism demand despite current downturn
ANA Holdings executive vice‑president Tomoko Hoya said at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Asia on 1 October 2026 that she expects good demand for inbound tourism to Japan over the long term, even though travel to the country is currently in a downturn.1
She noted that the weaker yen poses a challenge for Japanese leisure travellers, while business travel demand remains resilient, and she does not anticipate the present decline in visitor numbers to persist.1
