Long Thanh Airport Phase One Designed for 25 Million Passengers Annually

The first phase of Long Thanh Airport is planned with a capacity of 25 million passengers per year and is positioned as a convergence point for a multi‑modal transport network. A network of roads, highways and expressways is under construction to link the airport to surrounding regions, including the Long Thanh‑Dau Giay highway and the newly opened Binh Loi‑Long Thanh highway. The Vung Tau‑Bien Hoa highway, slated for completion in 2026, will connect the airport to the Cai Mep‑Thi Vai port complex.1
These transport links aim to integrate air travel with road and maritime corridors, enhancing accessibility for passengers and cargo across Vietnam. The development supports the airport’s role as a regional hub by facilitating movement between the western region, the port complex and other key destinations.1
