Japan Airlines adds Atlas Air Boeing 747F to Tokyo‑Los Angeles cargo route from Oct 2
Japan Airlines will begin code‑share cargo flights between Tokyo‑Narita and Los Angeles on 2 October, using a Boeing 747F operated by partner Atlas Air.1
The airline is expanding its cargo capacity by adding large freighters from partners such as Atlas Air, Kalitta Air and Cargolux alongside its own Boeing 767F fleet and passenger aircraft holds, in response to rising demand for air freight between Asia and North America driven by the semiconductor sector, generative AI and digital infrastructure investments.1
