Air New Zealand adds seats and flights on Shanghai‑Auckland route for Chinese New Year
Air New Zealand will add more than 7,000 seats on its Shanghai‑Auckland service and introduce three extra return flights per week from 23 January to 20 February 2027, raising the weekly frequency to ten flights.1
The increase responds to heightened demand during the Chinese New Year and will also provide additional cargo capacity for New Zealand exporters, while the airline's partnership with Air China will enable up to 24 weekly services between New Zealand and China in peak seasons.1
