FAA to convene board on Oct. 2 to review Boeing 737 MAX software issue
The Federal Aviation Administration will hold a Corrective Action Review Board on October 2 to examine a software problem affecting certain Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, according to Simple Flying.1
The glitch can prevent pilots from accessing automated flight guidance during a specific missed‑approach scenario and has led the FAA to hold certification of the 737 MAX 10 until the analysis is complete; Boeing and GE Aerospace are working to accelerate a permanent fix, and the agency has described the issue as one that could increase pilot workload in rare cases, affecting flight‑management software versions 14 and 14.1.1
