Embraer and Mahindra ready C‑390 final assembly line in India for MTA bid
Embraer and Mahindra announced on October 1 that they are preparing a final assembly line for the C‑390 aircraft in India as part of their bid for the MTA program.1
The partnership builds on a 2024 Memorandum of Understanding and a Strategic Cooperation Agreement signed in October 2025, aiming to create a local ecosystem that can handle the aircraft’s full life cycle, including post‑delivery services and a domestic supply chain, while highlighting the C‑390’s payload, speed and multi‑role capabilities such as troop transport, aerial refueling and medical evacuation.1
