Delta to resume Venezuela service after earthquake delay

Delta Air Lines announced it will resume flights to Venezuela after a delay caused by a double earthquake that disrupted operations at Maiquetía Airport at the end of June.1

American Airlines is currently the only U.S. carrier serving Caracas and Maracaibo from Miami, while United Airlines and JetBlue are set to add service to Maiquetía, linking the airport with Houston and Fort Lauderdale respectively, expanding U.S. airline presence in Venezuela.1
