Stratolaunch adds Boeing 777-200ER to hypersonic test fleet
Stratolaunch has acquired a Boeing 777-200ER to expand its fleet of aircraft used for launching hypersonic test vehicles.1
The 777 will be modified with multiple attachment stations to carry and launch the company’s reusable, autonomous Talon‑A vehicles and other test systems, becoming Stratolaunch’s third carrier aircraft and boosting its flight capacity by roughly 35%.1
The conversion of the 777 is expected to be completed in 2027.1
