CRC imposes new rules for mobile plan cancellations starting Oct 1, 2026
The Comisión de Regulación de Comunicaciones (CRC) will change the rules for users who want to cancel mobile phone plans beginning on October 1, 2026.1
Operators must provide a dedicated digital channel for termination requests and cannot transfer users to other channels or impose additional offers before the cancellation is processed, while any better offers may only be presented after the plan is cancelled; discounts, promotions or benefits to deter cancellation are prohibited.1
