Garuda Indonesia posts 16% revenue rise and narrows loss in H1 2026
Garuda Indonesia reported a 16% increase in revenue to $1.80 billion for the first half of 2026 and a 23.2% reduction in net loss, which fell to $113 million compared with $147.1 million a year earlier.1
Operating expenses grew 43.6% to $677.6 million, with fuel accounting for 37.7% of revenue, while the International Air Transport Association said jet fuel prices rose 121% in April 2026 versus April 2025 and projected an average price of about $152 per barrel for the year, a 70% increase over 2025.1
