Egypt to add fourth terminal at Cairo Airport, boosting capacity by 40 million

Air travel demand in Egypt is projected to grow by 3.4% each year through 2050, and the country’s airports handled about 28 million arriving and departing passengers in 2025, with Cairo International Airport alone serving 30.94 million that year, while airlines such as EgyptAir and Air Cairo continue to expand and modernise their fleets.1
