US and Saudi Arabia probe possible terrorist attack on flydubai 737 en route to Israel
Saudi and US officials said the cabin attack on a flydubai Boeing 737 from Dubai to Israel appears to be a planned terrorist act, and they are investigating possible Iranian involvement, according to statements to NBC News.1
The aircraft lost more than 14,000 feet in 29 seconds after a cockpit fight, but passengers entered the cockpit and subdued the attacker, identified as an Omani citizen and second pilot, allowing the plane to make an emergency landing at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.1
