Pegasus completes purchase of Czech Airlines and Smartwings group
Pegasus announced on 1 October 2026 that it had completed the acquisition of Czech Airlines and the Smartwings Group, taking 100 % ownership of Smartwings through its subsidiary Pegasus Europe B.V.1,2
The deal, valued at €154 million, brings together a fleet of more than 175 aircraft and adds firm orders for a further 140 aircraft, while Smartwings will keep its brand and continue day‑to‑day operations, expanding the combined network to 161 destinations in 57 countries.1,2
