FAA amends instrument approach and departure procedures at select airports
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a rule that amends, suspends or removes Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPs) and associated takeoff minimums and Obstacle Departure Procedures (ODPs) for operations at certain airports.1,2
The regulatory actions are required because of the adoption of new or revised criteria and changes in the National Airspace System, such as the commissioning of new navigational facilities, the addition of new obstacles, or evolving air traffic requirements, and are intended to provide safe and efficient use of navigable airspace and promote safe instrument flight operations at the affected airports.1,2
